Prior to moving here we lived in Uzes in the South of France. Here we completely renovated an old village barn, resulting in a French country home with a rustic, airy feel.
Works included stone floors, new windows, handmade doors, terraces and a simple designed courtyard garden.
As the internal layout did not include a single right angle, the kitchen, fitted storage and pannelling had to be made by hand. We used raw wood and painted the rooms neutral colours. This complimented the exposed stone and the antique pieces we found in local brocantes.
The house was photographed by Living Agency and has appeared in numerous European magazines.
